Ada kisah seorang yang bekerja sebagai pengayam keranjang. Ia adalah orang sederhana yang menikmati pekerjaannya sebagai pengayam keranjang. Ia bersiul dan bernyanyi selagi mengerjakan pekerjaannya dan menjalani hari harinya dengan gembira dan bahagia.
Di malam hari ia beristirahat di dalam pondoknya yang kecil dan tidur nyenyak.

Suatu hari ada orang kaya yang lewat di depan pondoknya dan melihat pengayam keranjang yang miskin tersebut. Ia merasa kasihan pada orang ini dan memberinya 1000 dolar.
“Ambillah ini, dan nikmatilah hidup Anda”, katanya.

Pengayam keranjang mengambil uang tersebut dengan sangat berterima kasih. Ia tidak pernah melihat uang sebanyak itu selama hidupnya. Ia membawa ke dalam pondoknya yang reyot dan bingung hendak menyimpannya di mana. Tetapi gubuknya tidaklah aman. Sepanjang malam itu ia tidak dapat tidur nyenyak karena kuatir dengan perampok, atau bahkan tikus yang dapat mengerogoti lembaran uang kertas tersebut.

Hari berikutnya ia membawa uang itu ke tempat kerjanya, tetapi ia tidak lagi bersiul dan bernyanyi karena ia terlalu kuatir dengan uangnya. Malam berikutnya ia kembali tidak dapat tidur dengan nyenyak, dan di pagi harinya uang tersebut ia kembalikan kepada pemiliknya dan berkata, “Kembalikan kebahagiaan saya”.

Ajaran Buddha tidak menentang seseorang untuk mengembangkan kekayaan atau giat dalam berusaha mengumpulkan materi. Buddha bahkan menganjurkan bagi perumah tangga untuk menggunakan kepandaian yang dimiliki dengan bijaksana untuk mendapatkan penghasilan dengan cara yang sah dan jujur.
Yang menjadi pokok penyampaian disini adalah untuk bersikap puas dengan apa yang telah dimiliki dan tidak menjadi budak dari keserakahan kita.

Uang bagaikan api. Jika api digunakan secara tepat dan benar, maka akan membawa manfaat besar bagi diri kita dan yang lain. Jika digunakan secara keliru, maka akan membawa penderitaan bagi kita dan yang lain.

Here,… I think I’m fine too… but…. eh Can’t be helped, right… human is always complaint about their life. Just like me. Hehe.

I wonder… always wonder… why I live in this world for so long?
Why do I live? It seems like I’m complicating myself huh?? Haha
Ok then let’s think simple way.

In my life, I always thought that I need to have this or that, I need to pursue my dream. Why? Of course because I love it ! Why I love it? Duh… I’m complicating myself once again. Haha

I don’t know… but I feel the harder I try to reach my dream, the more unpleasant feeling I got. It feel like I force myself into the cliff.
I realize that the pleasure need to be paid with suffering and pressure from the environment where I live right now.

Even though I get all I want, will I be satisfied with all of it? *sigh…
I feel that I’m very stupid.
Maybe I’m not fully aware about my consciousness. Maybe I’m still dreaming and never wake up even though I got bad dreams.

No satisfaction at all.

Brother…Did you ever loved someone? I think I’m falling in love with… more than one person.
Please don’t judge me as crazy but this is the truth. I’m easily attracted with girl. I don’t know why. If you wise you’ll say that I’m good at looking at someone’s quality, but if you not- I think you’ll say that I’m flirtatious. Haha..

You know what,… Usually I’m not easily bribed with money, but if it’s about women… I think I’m not firm enough to stand against them… haha KicK My AsS !!!

Maybe this is my last obstacle. If I can get through this… maybe I’ll feel better. But who can guess..

Woman is not easy to handle… they’re just like small little cup… so fragile. You always want to handle it with care because you don’t want to make it break…. That’s why it’s not easy to get along with them. Somehow,… you’ll feel that you’re already lost your freedom.

But this is life, and it can’t be helped that I love them so much.

Brother… how about you? You’re always silent about your feeling. So long we have become friend but I never know much about your relationship with woman.
Brother… maybe I can give you some advice… If you can let go of everything, you will not afraid of losing anything. So, just be calm and see this life the way it is. OK?

Orang bilang punya banyak harta membahagiakan. Punya orang yang dicintai juga membahagiakan. Kenyataannya orang yang punya banyak harta terus menerus mengkhawatirkan hartanya, juga terus mengkhawatirkan kekasihnya.
Walaupun tidak khawatir, namun saat uang dan cinta pergi… tetap saja akan menderita.

I looked at others to learn how they solve their problem
I found someone
He is really uncommunicative
He is always smiling… but never explain why is he smile.
I try to make him happy… and he is smiling again.
I try to make him sad… but he keep smiling.
I try to make him angry… but he give me some a glass of water and keep smiling.
Whatever I do, he is not bothered at all.

At first, I thought he is a man without emotion, but it’s not possible. How can someone without emotion can have a very sweet smile?

I think… even if I take his life, he will never complaint !
What the hell !!

Ow… who said hell?

I try to make him angry, but the one who gets angry is me.

Now… who is the loser.

Then he said : “No one win.. no one lose”

Now I know what he means by that.

Dalam sebuah jamuan makan malam resmi, seorang ambasador dari negara barat (ketika mengambil makanan) berusaha untuk ramah terhadap seorang nyonya pejabatIndonesia yang berada di depannya :

Ambasador: “Do you like salad ?”
Dikira nanya’in sholat, sang nyonya menjawab : “Oh yes, five times a day.”
Ambasador: “Wow, that’s very healthy. What kind of dressing do you like for salad ?”
Nyonya: “Mukena, of course.”
Sang ambasador berpikir keras, that must be a new dressing for salad I never knew before.

Sampai di bagian chinese food, sang nyonya berusaha membalas keramahan si ambasador. Bahasa Inggris pas-pasan, tapi nekad :

Nyonya (sambil nyendok mie yang masih panas) : “Do you like mie ?”
Ambasador (bingung, dipikirnya me = saya) : “Eeeeem ….. yes. With all respect.”
Nyonya (dengan mantap menimpali lagi) : “Still hot .. you know.”
Ambasador: ?!@?x???

Sempat bingung juga saat mau memilih judul untuk blog post hari ini. So, daripada bingung bingung saya kasih nama my thoughts @ october 29, 2009 saja.

Beberapa hari ini, entah mengapa saya selalu terbangun jam 5 pagi. Padahal sebelumnya saya adalah tipe pemalas yang susah bangun pagi. Meskipun sudah disengaja tidur larut malam pun tetap bangun jam 5 pagi. Sebenarnya apa yang terjadi?

Kalo mau dicari alasan, mungkin karena anak paman saya rutin membunyikan alarmnya (maksudnya nangis) setiap jam 5 pagi. Tapi alasan tersebut juga tidaklah terlalu kuat mengingat dulu saya tidak pernah terganggu dengan suara tangisan, dan sejujurnya sampai sekarang pun saya masih merasa tidak terganggu dengan tabiat anak paman saya itu.

Saya juga tak mengerti…
